Since today the new stable version for Joomla! 1.7 (JoomISP 1.2) is available for download. Already in early September a first beta version for Joomla! 1.7 was published. Since then several bugs were fixed and new features were implemented, so that JoomISP was already tested a lot.

With the release of JoomISP 1.2 also plugins for Confixx and IspCP Omega were released at the same time. With the plugins you can create an user account on your server with only one click out of the Joomla! backend. All data is imported to your control panel and the customer automatically get an email with the login credentials.

Please notice that all new functions will only be developed for Joomla! 1.7 (and Joomla! 1.6). The version for Joomla! 1.5 is still avaiable but there will not be any updates in future.

For the data import from Joomla! 1.5 (JoomISP, JispCom, ISPSS) to Joomla! 1.7 (JoomISP 1.2) an upgrade package is available. To import your data, simply copy the database tables of your old installation to your new database and install the upgrade package.

New: Package types

A package in JoomISP must now be assigned to a package type. By default the existing package types are "Webhosting", "Server / vServer" and "Voice over IP". Depending on the package type different attributes can be set for the package. Therewith it is now easier to offer not only webhosting but also (v)servers or VoIP with JoomISP.

Additional package types can be added through editing the xml file. Furthermore the control panel plugins come with own package types which include exactly those attributes which are relevant for the control panel.

New: Voucher Generation

In JoomISP it is now possible to generate voucher codes. Whether you generate hundreds of vouchers for a deal promotion or single vouchers for your most loyal customers: Simply generate the voucher codes in the Joomla! backend and the customers will get the defined discount (percentage or absolute value) when they enter the voucher code at the end of the order process.

Other new features

• Instead of the text Yes/No, icons can be shown in the feature list.
• At the domain selection page now the status of all domains is shown next to the domains.
